I would like to invite a reference to letter NO.CPV/PMU/Dir(PV & PSP)/10/2008
dated 10.1.2013 regarding filling up posts of DPOs/APOs in Passport Offices and HQrs
through deputation received from Director(Passport, Visa and Passport Seva Project).
2 Vide the above circular a requirement of Sevenfi') Deputy Passport Officer(DPO)
and Twelve(12) Assistant Passport Ofticer(APO) have been made by the Director(PV
and PSP). In this organization Deputy Passport Officer is equivalent to Dy.CA in the Pre—
revised scale of Rs.10,000-325-15200(revised Pay Band of Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade
Pay Rs.6600/-) and Assistant Passport Officer is equivalent of ACA/Sr.AO in the Pre-
revised scale of 8000-275—13500(revised Pay Band of Rs.lS,600-39,1OO + Grade Pay
Rs.5400/-).
4. Sh. MK. Pardesi J.S. (Passport Sewa Project & Chief Passport Officer) had
during his meeting with me on 24.12.2012 indicated his immediate requirement of two
AOs/AAOs preferably fr0m CCAS Cadre against two p0sts of A.P.Os at RPO and MBA
HQrs New Delhi for handling Accounting matters of urgent nature. Therefore, 1 request
you to nominate eligible officers, in particular, for the post of A.P.Os for HQrs mentioned
in the Ministry’s Circular NO.V.1V/575/45/12 dated 24th December, 2012(Copy
enclosed).
3. You may like to ensure vide publicity to this Ministry’s Circular
NO.V.1W575/45/12 dated 241h December, 2012 on CGAs website. Urgent action is
t requested as the last date for receiving nomination is 31$1 January, 2013.

The selected officers will be on deputation for a period of three years initially which can be
curtailed or extended further, depending upon the requirement, and with the consent of the officer and
approval ofthe lending department. The usual deputation terms will apply. The selected candidates will
be required to work in any Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) falling under the jurisdiction of other Passport
Offices as well. i
3. All Ministries/Departments of Government of India are requested to circulate the above posts
among the officers under the Central Government including officers of All India Services, working with
them and forward the application (in prescribed pro forma Annexurc A) of eligible and interested
officers, along with their dossiers and a certificate to the effect that- they are clear from vigilance angle.
